1. These terms
These terms apply when you ask us for an estimate, book a job or use this website. Booking a job means you accept them. If anything here conflicts with a written quote we give you, the quote wins.
2. Estimates and prices
- Estimates are free and carry no obligation. They are based on what you tell us and any photos you send.
- The final price is confirmed with you on site, before work starts. If the job turns out bigger than described, we re-quote before continuing. You can decline at that point at no charge.
- Any applicable Illinois sales tax is added to the quoted price where the law requires it.
3. Scheduling and access
- We agree a day for the work with you.
- You, or an adult you authorize, must be present or must have arranged access. Please secure pets and clear a path to the work.
4. What you promise us
- You own the property or items involved, or you have authority over them. For estates that means you are the executor, administrator or their agent.
- You have told us about anything hazardous or unusual before we arrive.
- You have marked anything that must not be touched or removed.
5. Work we decline
We may decline any job we consider unsafe, unlawful or outside our trade, and we will say so rather than start it.
6. Damage and claims
We take care in your home and on your property. If something is damaged, tell us within 48 hours with photographs and we will inspect and respond within five business days.
7. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent Illinois law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost time or lost income. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything the law says cannot be limited.
8. Payment
Payment is due when the job is finished, by cash or check (we prefer cash). On unpaid invoices we may recover reasonable collection costs. Cancellations, deposits and refunds are covered in our Estimates, Cancellations & Refunds policy.
9. Photos and reviews
We may photograph the work for our records and insurance and may use photos of the work on this site and our profiles, but we do not publish faces, house numbers or anything else that identifies you without your written permission. We welcome honest reviews, good or bad, and we never pay or trade for them.
10. This website
The text and photographs on this site belong to us and may not be copied or scraped without permission. The site is provided for information; it is not a contract and it may change. Links to other sites are for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
11. Disputes and governing law
Illinois law governs these terms. If something goes wrong, call us first; most problems are fixed with a conversation and, where needed, a return visit. Anything that cannot be resolved that way is decided in the courts of Will County, Illinois, including small-claims court for smaller amounts.
